Ventilator Services
Respiratory and Nursing Center of Dayton has been a leader in ventilator, non-invasive ventilator, and respiratory care since 1991. We deliver medical services you can trust with a professional staff that includes a pulmonologist, pulmonary nurse practitioner, nephrologist, wound and medical nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, respiratory nurses, and nurse aides. Our full-time in-house respiratory therapists along with our medical and nursing team offer a weaning and decannulation program to ensure patients who are able to wean off the vent or be decannulated have the opportunity to breathe freely again.

In-House Ventilator Dialysis Program
Respiratory and Nursing Center of Dayton offers a Ventilator- Hemodialysis Program through partnership with Concerto Renal Services. Dialysis service is performed in our dialysis den under the supervision of a dialysis nurse. Respiratory Therapists are on the unit to provide all aspects of care to these patients. Offering in-house dialysis for vent residents eliminates commute time for dialysis, reduces risk of exposure to infection and improves quality of life.

Designated Respiratory Unit
Our respiratory unit provides services to individuals requiring short, extended and long-term levels of care. Our top-rated respiratory therapists, pulmonary nurse practitioner and nursing staff are led by a board-certified pulmonologist who provides continuity in pulmonary care with weekly visits for those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory disorders such as tracheostomy, COPD, lung cancer, emphysema, pneumonia, covid recovery, pleural effusion and more.

Physical Therapy
Our physical therapy is designed to help you maximize strength and endurance to regain independence and general mobility within the home setting. Our therapists provide an innovative approach, 7 days a week, while progressing patients to their maximum potential allowing for a safe transition to home.

Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapy focuses on identifying and eliminating environmental barriers to independence and maintain the skills for activities of daily living. Our program specializes in restoring function following hospitalization, or illness, which resulted in the inability to complete bathing, dressing, and home management.

Speech Therapy
Our speech therapists work to develop individual goals for each patient, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders and swallowing disorders. Our highly trained therapists are available 7 days a week for our patients ever changing needs.

Respite Care
Our respite program provides planned short-term and time-limited breaks for families and other care givers. This service can also provide the day-to-day supportive services, as well as social stimulation, engagement, activities and communal needs for the patient. |
